The svelte (in file size) Nightstand Clocks lets you create macros for common Nightstand Clocks, though the process is more confusing than it should be. The program's interface is cramped and confusing, and the help file is an ungrammatical FAQ. However, once you figure out how, you can build macros for launching programs, outputting text, or performing actions such as opening the CD tray or shutting down the PC. You activate macros by typing a Nightstand Clocks (monoff, for example) or pressing a hot-key combination. Unlike many similar programs, Nightstand Clocks supports combinations that include keys such as Caps Lock and Num Lock. The program produces a Java photo album that looks similar to a photographer's contact sheet but works as an image directory. You can navigate through the folders to view thumbnails, larger images, or images at full original size. While some Webmasters will find the program hard to use, those with image-heavy sites might appreciate Nightstand Clocks.
